Kerala Itinerary – 07 Days

Day 1 Cochin – Munnar

Arrive at Cochin airport or station drive to Munnar (04 HRS). Later check-in to the hotel and rest whole day will be free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2 Munnar

After breakfast go for local sightseeing of Munnar where you can visit Mattupatty Dam, Echo Point, Tea Plantation visit, Rajmalai, Eravikulam National Park. Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 Munnar - Thekkady

After breakfast check-out from hotel and processed for the Thekkady which is around 125kms (4hrs) drive from Munnar. Later check-in to the hotel and visit Periyar Wildlife sanctuary ( Extra Cost ) and later go for spices plantation and shopping { Extra Cost }. Evening back to hotel.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 Thekkady – Alleppey

Drive to Alleppey, embark on private houseboat and cruise on the canals, lakes and coves. Luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms. Sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape. Observe the countryside lifestyle. Stop at villages, paddy fields and other places enroute. Overnight on board.

Day 5 Alleppey - Kovalam

After breakfast check-out from hotel and processed for the Kovalam which is around 160kms (4.5hrs) Later check-in to the hotel and rest whole day enjoy at Kovalam beach. Evening back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 Kovalam

After breakfast visit Trivandrum which is around half-n-hour drive where you can visit Lord Vishnu temple {Mandatory dress code to enter temple}, Kuthiramalika Palace, Zoo, art gallery and museum, Shri Pandmanbhaswamy temple Evening back to Kovalam. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 Trivandrum Departure

After breakfast check-out from hotel and processed for Trivandrum airport with lots of memories of Kerala tour.

1) Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India’s coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.

2) Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it’s surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.

2) Thekkady is the location of the Periyar National Park, which is an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India.

3) Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city’s Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake’s snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

4) Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production.

5) Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) is the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s distinguished by its British colonial architecture and many art galleries. It’s also home to Kuthira Malika (or Puthen Malika) Palace, adorned with carved horses and displaying collections related to the Travancore royal family, whose regional capital was here from the 18th–20th centuries.
